Letters #5
Hey Mizuki,
Your letter was a beacon in this neon nightmare. The thought of you and Sushi waiting for me keeps me grounded. I promise I’ll be back in present-day Tokyo as soon as I can find the escape. It’s getting more and more difficult to find a land line with connections to the real world. I will never stop trying to get back to you and Sushi
Yes, we met on the apps, but I like to think we found each other in the chaos. Plus who owns those apps? Oh yeah the neon dogs of the Corpo trash.
I love these photos!! How did you get that one of us on our first date! There must be some flaw in the matrix to allow you to revisit that amazing night!
Those chefs look anything but harmless, In fact I’m thinking of gathering a battalion of men to come rescue you! But my love if you say they are harmless, I’ll take your word for it, this time. You don’t have to worry about me eating any flies when I visit your restaurant. I’ve never eaten flies. The one time I ate stir-fried bees though, I was overcome with the urge to hum the Flight of the Bumblebee. Thankfully due to the cybernetic implants I was able to hum perfectly in tune, for at least 30 min. After that the energy levels were depleted, and I was humming so out of tune that my friend thought I was becoming a bee with all the buzzing.
I’ll be out of this cyber hellscape soon, and we’ll be back to our normal, chaotic life. Until then, keep being the fierce, amazing woman you are.
Loves from the trenches,
Sammy
